Quarter glass and side window trim- is this original?

Hi all, doing a few bits to the Golf during the winter. Just general tidying up.

I have been trying to hunt down the quarter light and side window dividing trim in chrome as the chrome on mine is peeling off and pitting. I've just removed it and to me this doesn't look orginal? Can anyone confirm if it is?

And, where I maybe able to source another? It's a 79 series 1.
