Inner wheel arch refurbishment

Info needed

Hi all,
Iv found some nice rust and rot holes on my inner wings of my 91 caddy under the the scuttle. Now i plan on cutting all the rot out and replacing it with nice new metal, so i thought i may as well do it properly and strip the whole inner arch back to the bear metal and reseal them again. This is where i need help in what to to use. Iv seen a few people on here using U-POL weldable zinc primer witch I'm gonna use as i repair the metal work but what sort of primers and stone chip do i use after the work has been done?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Joe

Does your car have plastic front wheel arch liners? Strange place for them to rust unless no liners are fitted because of bigger wheels or lower ride height.
The Stuff VW uses is really good and thick, I've know people remove the stuff and not find anything as good to replace it with so I would only remove what you need to and if the repair is behind the plastic wheel arch liner I guess any old stone chip will do?
Any pictures of where the rust is?

Hi mark1gls
Yes i do have the plastic arch liners and they were a right pain to get off. My caddy has done 189k and the scuttle has gone in the corners so I'm hoping this is why is has rusted there  O_o but i could be wrong.
