Cabrio with massive gaps between scraper and glass

Post

I've refitted my cabby after a respray and on fitting the scrapers today there's a massive gap (circa 5mm) between the scraper and the glass. Wasn't like that before. Have I refitted something wrong?

Is it possible that you didn't notice this gap previously?
Is the inner scraper fitted yet? As this will push the glass out a tad.
I fitted new ones, but they push the glass too far in, which jams in the b post when going back up. They've been in for a year and they still push too hard. (previous ones had zero tension left in them) meaning zero effect.
I don't think you can fit these incorrectly.?

My left hand window does this, dead annoying especially when I have passengers in the car I've yet to educate about this flaw. :-/

Also thought about the actual sliders too, is the glass seated correctly in the sliders within the door and are the guide rails aligned correctly?

I get the same problem but randomly it only happens sometimes. Other times I put the roof back down and it's fine. I have no idea what changes when I don't get the problem. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

Entirely possible I hadn't noticed the gap before disassembly. Could be the scrapers have shrunk.

I perhaps thought I hadn't put the door pillar back in correctly as the gap seems bigger that end rather than the other. It was agro getting the pillars back in so I'm not keen to remove then.

Not the end of the world as car is sunny day play thing and is garaged. I'll look at getting some new scrapers and go from there.

Mine also has quite large gaps between the scraper and glass. I was hoping you maybe able to set the glass a bit. This will be a job to look at when I get a chance.

Yeah I probably need to buy these. Cabby is on the road as of tomorrow (if cover note arrives in time to tax) so I'll make a list of all the parts I need and get them off you Funk-star.
