1979 Series 1 Gti Tartan Interior

Hi all,

I'm on the look out for a early mk1 interior, low back front seats etc… now I was wondering what my interior was worth as I'm going to need to sell / swap.

It's in good condition but does need work and a good clean as per pics.

So could anyone tell me what kind of money I should be asking for?

Not sure what you should be asking for those, but they look OK.  I would want at least couple of hundred for them if they were mine

Not that it really matters, but there are few odd things;

That is the correct s1 tartan, but those are not s1 headrests.  I think the tubes that the headrests sit in are diffrent too (at least my s1 seats have different headrest tubes to s2 seats), so perhaps these are s2 seats that have been retrimmed?  The seat belt clips aren't s1 clips either.

Your drivers seat seems to have a hole for a tilt/release handle on the wrong side, does it also have a tilt handle on the other side?

 

Just seen these pop up on my ebay feed and agree with KP73, these look like S2 seats that have had the centres replaced with S1 tartan fabric.

The tartan gearlever gaiter suggests that someone's been busy with the sewing needle too.  Still they look nice.  

I will check that, I bought the interior from crazyquiffs about 5 years ago.
