Post

Model number / strength

Hi All

I'm running a 1.8t on a 02A gearbox and need to know what model number or power output starter motor I need?

Also do many cars/ models use the same starter motor as I need to buy a new one?

Thanks for any help

mk3/seat abf or tdi, mk2 g60, all 4 cylinder manual corrado etc. mk4 02j type fit too but iirc the bolts are bigger, but that doesnt affect fitment

main thing is what starter plug do you have on your wiring loom, old mk1/2 spade or newer mk3/4 clippy plug

use the 02a ones
N  10241605 - m10x45
N  10103501 - m10x160
N  90572901 - m10x190-m8x15 (hasa wee m8 stud on the bolt head for the pas pipe bracket, you can just get a plain m10 bolt if you like.

10.9 tensile im pretty sure
