Mk1 engine swap for mk3 2.0ltr gti
I'm thinking of trying to swap engines in my 1982 mk1 carbio
I can get my hands on a mk3 8v 2.0ltr gti engine quite cheap with just over 60k miles on it genuine
I am wanting to do this mostly on my own
I have a good friend who is a mechanic if I get stuck with anything
Is It possible to do it without spending a fortune
What would I have to change
And what would I get for my engine it's got 72k genuine miles and runs spot on
Still not sure if I will do this yet
Thanks in advance

What engine is in your car?
How are you going to fuel the engine, fuel injection or carbs?
If your car is already fuel injection you will have the fuel lines and pump already to run fuel injection, if not you will need to change them to GTi stuff.
