what engine do you have now? if you have a big block engine the mounts are the same?

It has a gti 8v engine, people say to get up rated

If its only for road use and you don't want extra vibrations, stick with standard 8v gti rubbers, if yours are 30 years old they may be a bit soft.

It's only road use just thinking going for a poly bush gearbox mount

Mine's a KR with Ashley manifold and is just fine on standard new mounts, gearbox rear mount is a Diesel one as they're supposed to be a harder rubber

aye go normal rubber sides and diesel rear mount, plus poly front. this is what i ran in my cab 16v and it was perfect compromise between engine movement and vibration
