Kr 16v engine, What coolant hoses..

Hi all

I am at the point in my engine conversion of a kr 16v in a mk1 and would like to know what coolant hoses I need to use, all the old hoses from the car have been long gone, the engine that came out of the car was a 1.6 petrol.
I,m running it on a set of bike carbs. would like to know from anyone if I need to buy complete set for a mk2 16v or just a few, and make ones up that say would not fit from kr engine to a mk1.
Also I,m going to be buying silicone ones.

a hose kit for a 16v would contain most of the pipes you need, but you will need mk1 pipes for the heater matrix.

what radiator will you be using, and will you have a header tank?

I don't know about a rad yet, I have been looking on the bay and thinking about one from china, they are top fill one with twin core. so should keep engine cool enough.  Do you know of an uprated rag that is a good option.

Opps  that should say  uprated rad.

i would just use a mk1/2 1.8 gti radiator, plenty good enough and available dirt cheap from jjust about everywhere. if you want a top fill an early mk1/scirocco gti one will do
