Can I use MK5 calipers & 280mm G60 discs?

Post

I've just swapped out the brakes on my MK5, and am left with the old 280mm setup laying around.
Might be way off with this, but..
Obviously the disks won't work as they're 5x112, but can I use adapters and put the calipers on the MK1 with G60 280mm discs?

offsets might not work out disc to calliper unless theres lots of room for adapters?

Yeah that's kinda what I meant, just wondering if it had been done before, can't face taking it all apart in the cold to check
If no one knows, I'll have a look on the weekend. :ninja:

I vaguely looked Into even as far as watching callipers on eBay  but the 310's I got came up for sale so sacked the whole idea off, sure there's a Belgium kid running em and 256's up back too. Not that it makes any difference haha.

Haha that's understandable :thumbs:Yeah I think I saw that car, that's what made me think of this, though I'm sure they were 312mm GTI calipers? :o Might be wrong though
If I can upgrade my brakes using spares I've got lying around, then it's a big win in my eyes
