bike carbs

hi guys…..someone local to me (but not met) is selling some yam 600 carbs and manifold which were intended to be fitted to a mk2 polo 1.3………has anybody had any experience with this kind of set up?…….would this set up be compatible with my 1.3 mk1 golf driver(exhaust gas heated inlet manifold original)…may be tempted if it has potential….
