Snagging - 20vt Mk1 Conversion
I have just installed an AUQ in my Mk1 Gti and it is overfueling massively, if I clamp the fuel line inbound the engine settles down and idles nice
The original Mk1 1.8 Gti pump is putting out way to much pressure so I thought I could just fit a pressure regulator and gauge pre-engine and this would solve the issue?
I have been told that I also need to fit a blank the original AUQ unit also as the regulator on it's own will not solve the issue, can anyone confirm this please.
Cheers,
Mark

Apparently the Kjet pump is way to strong and I need to regulate the fuel pressure, at the moment the tickover is about 1200 and the exhaust gas'es read about 7 clicks
Once the line is clamped the engine settles down nicely and exhaust gas comes down to MOT pass of 3-4 ish
Mr MOT man recons I need to blank the original regulator on the fuel line and stick in an adjustable on the return line and turn it right down? (not sure about this though)
Has anyone else had an issue like this or knows of a thread on here I can check?
Cheers!
