All red rears DIY for cabby and fog light removal

Post

I appreciate this might sound a bit "max power" but bear with me.

In an attempt to tidy up the back of the cab I've decided it would look best with all red rear lights, now because the aftermarket ones are no longer available I've decided to tint spray some original ones

Now the problem I've got is how to make the indicators flash ginger and not red.
The best method would be either green bulbs (which I can't seem to find anywhere) or as Peugeot do and have a green filter inside the lamp.

Green + Red = ginger

Anyone have any input or suggestions of how to achieve this?

2nd part of the plan is to remove the bolt on fog light and replace one of the 2 reverse lights with the fog.
The other reverse light can stay red as they aren't an mot requirement anyway

Has anyone else done this or have any pics of cabs with either of these 2 mods, preferably black small bumpered models

yes green bulbs, and I did the same with the fog light in my cabrio but I used a red bulb rather than paint my lamps

I'll post a snap up before next weekend when I get 5 mins to put them on

Not sure I'm completely happy with them just yet, they need to be a little bit more . . red

All red rears DIY for cabby and fog light removal

Recently removed my lower rear fog light and converted one of the reverse lights with a red LED bulb so left is still reverse and right is fog, passed an MOT no problem.
Next thing is to try a slight tint and see how they like that ?

jamie8v  thats exactly what I'm planning on doing should tidy it up much better.

It does seem that the colour in OEM lenses are quite stong, the red tint I used on mine still flash as orange even with white bulbs so a light tint shouldn't be an issue

Finally actually removed the rear fog and put it as the offside reversing lamp.

Doddle to do and makes the back end a lot tidier

Simply unbolt the fog light with a 13mm spanner and snip the wires, pull the wires back through their grommet and into the boot

Remove the bulb holder and you'll see one of the earths is now redundant as you've cut the other end off so remove it completely

Now just pull the spade connector from the reverse light and leave it loose

Fit the same size male spade to the fog light wire and plug it in the others place.

Swap the bulb to a red one and Roberts your mothers brother

I think you are missing the wheels…..as it don't roll too well on jack stands
