7.5J Et38 on a GTI fronts usually sit flush with the plastic arch.
You have added 1/4" to either side of the rim and poked it out by further 1.5"
So overall you have an extra 1.75" poke.
Should be fine as long as the arch covers them and the camber is setup correctly.
A wider track will make the suspension feel softer, ie the further you go out the less leverage required to compress the springs. It will understeet less. It will put more stress on the bearings.

Ade

Would also think (if the engine has any power) that torque steer would be an issue.

2ltr 16v and archers aren't a problem  ;) plus I've gone for it lol so they will be on ready for Agm.

you could always dial in a bit of camber to get them tucked in !!!

In my opinion it'll look awesome and won't drive too bad but you'll no it's not stock sitting behind the wheel.

I'm running 7.5j effective et3 and so far on the test drive it's acceptable.

For track or sporty driving I'd run no lower then et30.

Cab looks well and I'm not too worried about not feeling stock cos it ain't stock lol plus it's a toy so doesn't get driven every day. The car won't be finished properly for this Agm but it's been done by me and on the cheap as always but should look how I want it. It's not shiny, well wheels are lol and it's not really everyone's taste but it's not a crashed through halfords window jobie with daft bumpers and stuff
