yeah if its the mk4 golfy 020 type box im thinking of its very odd. it has like a cable -> rod shift converter, plus a hydralic clutch actuator! quite funky

Donne la poubelle… ( in the bin ! )
Next, top mount, handily, this was left on the box when we wrestled it out of the donor car, ( I just kepy quiet… lol ) Plan to weld this to my existing mount that the green golf of doom handily came supplied with from the factory…..
Finally, the beast itself…..going to gunk the hell out of it later, can't be fitting oil covered 13 year old mass produced parts now can we…
Speedo drive and reverse light switch will need changing as well - easy peasy.
Onwards……

Rubjonny, yeah all the driveshaft flanges have the same bolt pattern, what I meant when I said it might need changing is that I've heard the 6n gearboxes have one flange that is spaced out further than those on a mk1-3 polo box. So it could mean the driveshaft would be simply too long to fit in between box and hub…
But I guess we'll find out now though!
