Retro Rides South Yorkshire

From 7pm on the first Monday of every month is the Retro Rides South Yorkshire meet which I organise.  Takes place at a pub called Meadow Farm just off J35 of the M1 and is a chilled out family friendly affair welcoming cars of pre-2000 vintage in stock and modified form.  This month we got quite a few Mk1 Golfs turn up so it seemed appropriate to share some pictures with you all.

I'll just put the Golfs in here.  I'm hoping I'll have my cabrio done in time for the next meet on the 5th of August.

The only cabrio there this time, there are others in the area that turn up.

My pictures don't do this one justice, very red and very well finished.






I didn't get any other pictures of the gold one here, but I did of the green.

We have had Mk1 Golfs at previous meets too, I've had a look through my old galleries to see what I can find and this is what I've got for you.

From July 2010 at the old venue.






A very wet September 2010.




October 2010.




Big break in the spots until May 2011.


July 2011 and I spot a tidy little Clipper.




And another pick-up, quite a few of these knocking about I guess.


In September 2012 a whole bunch appeared together, but I seem to recall I was having camera issues so I only got the one shot, sadly.


December 2012 sees an earlier incarnation of the one that you saw in my first post, it's presently on gold centres instead of black.


January 2013 got this tidy little blue tin top.




March 2013 saw another Cabrio - or possibly that Clipper from earlier - appear.


Finally, in June 2013, our second meet at the new venue, was this little stunner.
