yeah you can get the shorter gear linkage pivots off flea bay, and a weighted linkage rod - should make it nice and short.  Make sure you renew all you bushes and linkages at same time - a shorter quicker shift with worn bushes will be neigh on impossible to find a gear!

Although if you handy with a grinder and welder you can modify your own pivot - sure theres a guide knocking about on the web

just modify yours to be like this :

your flat rod bit needs to be longer to make the shift shorter

all u need is a bit of flat metal with 2 holes in it, bolt it onto the end of your old relay shaft and pop the right bush in, job done.  relay shaft is the one the long metal link rod goes in, thats held in place with a pair of split pins

if you want quality have a look at the missinglinkz kits from the US, I can vouch for them being excellent. Do a search for missinglinkz on google and you'll find em. he does short shifts, uprated bushes and even kits which replace the whole lot with ball end rods

Cheapest one I have ever seen is from Missinglinkz

His weighted billet is good, but you can make your own… I did, and the feel of the shift after adding it was really really nice…
