mk4 golf running gear

hi there just after some advice I have a mk1 cabby an wonting to put a 1.8 t engine from mk4 golf just wondering if can just put the subframe,drives hubs an brakes ect
also wonting to convert from drum to discs on rear so does mk4 golf rear axle an all brake setup thanks jamie

front wont go without serious effort, rear will never go totally different. you can use the mk4 rear calipers with mk2/3 stub axles, caliper carriers, discs and pads
