I've started to weld the arches again and have almost got one side done! Might just get it road worthy again and take it somewhere else for the rest of the work to be done as I can never find the time/motivation to do it myself.

If anyones reading this post that has a spare gti 1983 single connector clocks/dials with mfa let me know asap please. i need a new one as mine has developed a fault with the oil light and buzzer.so can someone let me know if they do, and how much, and if they could bring it to the meet?

Oh ross my car should have been repaired by now and i should be collecting it 2moro if all is well.

I will be there! My first meet too, looking forward to it!

Will be driving up from Bournemouth as have a birthday bash to attend the night before, so may be feeling a little worse for wear!!

hi ross, yeah got the car last night in pouring rain, wasnt too good tho, bald front tyres (which cant get til a week time).
No speedo or rev lights, no emergency lights like oil or water lights etc or buzzer not working so need a clocks still.

but still should be attending. Now lets hope it doesnt rain too bad!
Cant do 70mph on the front tyres i got in the rain, almost slicks.

i wasnt going too, but went outside today to my car and a bloody bird had left me a pressy on me roof, cream mohair too :twisted:  dam birds so i have been

AArh! I feel for you mate :tlc: . The last 2 times I've washed my car the blighters have come over taken a plop just after I've turned the hose off Also recently parked under a pine tree that my parents chopped a branch off without me knowing. Sap is nasty stuff. Oh and also I had ash over my car from rockets on bonfire night! That was just after washing it too

sap is a nightmare if you dont wash it off asap too :mrgreen:
