i agree and yes it has been posted before and i think the outcome was it would get messy, but we dont hold that against you if you like a minimeet locally, just post it up and give others the chance to decide if they'd like to attend :wink:

The one person arranging meets won't work, as they wont know the areas both up there and down here.

So yeah, i'll continue to do the meets down here, and will post up when/ where they will be going on.

It's not so much a minimeet as an actual meet.
We will probably get larger numbers down here than most of the meets i travelled up to Taunton for…

Infact more names are already down, than the turn out of 50% of the Taunton meets, (and the bristol ones that were trying to be held).

I know that all the regional areas are being looked into at the moment so that hopefully any gaps in the country will be filled so no one is left out. The SW region at the moment covers probably the largest area and could well be ripe for being split up a bit. As the club develops and becomes more well known I think its inevitable that the region will split but a meet such as the one at Taunton would still be popular for all members in the larger region to meet up.

It would obviously mean there needs to be more regional hosts than just one! (Incidentally all regional hosts need to be paid members).
But it ony probably needs one host to update the SW region web page.

So I say feel free to organise meets that are more local to you if you want to.

Ross, whats happening with the mk1?  Still selling it?  Getting mine finished off and then up for sale.  It just doesn't get used anymore, so i don't see the point in having it stood there.  Was looking forward to attending one last SWM meet, but it looks like there is not much of a chance of a meet in the near future.  Compounded to that i also have no insurance or tax on mine at the  moment.

Yesh, it still looks like I'll be selling it at the moment. I havent used it still since the last meet! Its a waste being sat there, I need to finish it off too then I think I'll stick a full MOT on it. It's still going to be hard letting it go.

Kriss so are you going to be leaving the Mk1 scene ater selling it? I would be after I sell but who knows, I'd love to have another when the time is right.

For a while yes, i'm up to my eyes in it trying to get the MK2 Owners' Club off and running.  I have a MK2 and possibly a G40 Polo soon, so too many dubs :? Perhaps another MK1 someday though.

Yep mate, i don't see the point if its not being used, plus with all my other cars i can't afford to tax and insure it.  I plab on putting it on ebay in the next 2-4 weeks.  Just need to get the bubbling around the filler cap sorted.  Oh well
