starting a new local club 80's hot hatches north/west yorks

Hi guys. I am going to be organising our first meet shortly meeting somewhere like skipton, otley or knaresborough. Plan on iviting other 80's hot hatches like 205's lancias etc etc. Hopefully that will get a good group of us out then have a little drive onto somehwere then stop for a beer before dispurcing. Just a little feeler to see how many people might be interested. Also a drive up to tan hill from skipton and one up to windermere.

I'll be watching this thread with interest, although its a little early, i've not started my restoration yet!

Yeah ive been a bit slack and now roads are starting to be salted people are putting their babies into hibernation. Ive seen around me lancia deltas, 205 gti's, caddys, renault 5 gt turbos etc etc. Im going to print a load of little cards off directing them to this website hope you mk1 purists dont mind. Just thought to get a bigger croud and it would be good to see all the 80's motors together. If you have any local to you could you also do the same and spread the word. reckon first trip up to dubfreeze this coming year think its in february

Our first run out will be to spring dub indoor show at harrogate great yorkshire showground.

Maybe meet at skipton to start run down a59 to knaresbrough have another pickup in the market square then onto the great yorkshire showground. Its on the 3rd March.

Thinking of organising a photographer to come and take some pictures of the run. 45 pounds for 2 hours and we get a cd would not be too much if we all chipped in about 8 quid and I could copy cd. What do you guys think. We could get some ace pictures up at fewston reservoir, menwith hill and waterside Knaresborough areal shots from the viaduct.
