Sorry you guys missed it. There were 5 cars in all. Not a massive turn out but still worth turning out for. The weather held out fine there were just a few spots on the way home for me. Was nice to have a natter to those that made it.

Here's a couple of pics quickly before I treck off to Cirencester…

The downer was I picked up another huge stone chip on the way home :( wish it hit the already knackered windscreen but just missed and hit the scuttle. I've managed to get some paint on it before the weather kicks in but it needs filling its so big :banghead:

Cheers for turning up and see you next time hopefully.

Ross

Yeah shame it was only the regulars again.
Was hoping to see alot of new people but nevermind.
Wont be going to next one for many months this time.
Here are my pics, same as always, but photobucket is free, so making the most of it, and something other than txt to look at instead.

After driving into a deep forest, Douge needed a little help out      Just joking, just looks funny.

Used Autotec just outside of Cheltenham who did a great job on them: http://www.vwgolfmk1.org.uk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=20374&highlight=autotec

Need to clean all of the dead bugs off of it today, seem to gather quite a few driving down the motorway!

Looking forward to the next one, whenever and wherever it may be…

There are a few mk1's around the Chelt/Glos area, mine for a start!

Keep an eye on this one too for local meets in the Chelt/Glos area: http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76743

Girlfriends are normally dragged along by certain people so if yours is keen to come along then the more the merrier!

Don't worry about the condition of the car, that's not the point, it's about getting them all together and having a good chat!  :D

I'm going to be way too busy to make the next meet and maybe the one after :(  I've just bought my first house so I've got loads to sort out. Need to get the '83 GTI out of my folk's garage so I'm going to be trying to find every spare minute I have doing that, or coursework. You wont find me much on here either I don't think!

Can someone else organise the next meet please? I can put up location details on the SW region page if you like.

Cheers

Ross

p.s. Nice pics Si and Hux :y:  8)

I might have enough time to attend, but definately not to organise, sorry!

I have all my final uni work to do over the next 4 weeks, and I found out today that my dissertation has to be handed in in 2 weeks and not the 3 that I had originally thought  :banghead:

Depending on when and where the next meet is, I would like to be there.

Thanks guys, sorry to hear you're going to be selling the campaign Kriss, whys that?

I went to see the house on the saturday before the meet and then made an offer on the Monday morning, an hour or so later the offer was accepted! All this while I was away in Cirencester. Then I arranged a mortgage over the phone before the rates have gone up. Very hectic stuff :ouch:
No garage or parking :( but its in a nice location and has Its only about 5 miles from Woolacombe. Here's a link if you wanna see some pics…

It needs a fair bit of work so golfing might have to be put on hold for a bit :(

Nice place mate, got lots of character, not usually run of the mill :D

I need the cash mate - thinking of getting a garage built.  I'm sure i will be back with a mk1 soon though :D Next time i fancy a series 1.  I'd imagine im looking at 6-12 months, providing a good one comes up.  I may be getting a very early mk2 16v as a run around in the meantime :D
