I haven't PM'd people because there's been a fair bit of interest in the regional meets from new faces, I don't want to invite only the regulars and miss out the new people, its a case of "the more the merrier" but there's no pressure to come.

It will be good just to get together and chat, etc, maybe one item we could mention is trying to vaguely organise some kind of presence or mini-meet at the All Types (Welsh) show in 2 weeks time?

Quite a good turnout, given that the weather turned out bad. Strange, since the past week or so its been really nice here. Maybe we jinxed it! It was good to see some new members, in due course the NW regional web page will be updated. Total count was 9 Mk1s including Mark's caddy but excluding the Mk2 (the dark car in the picture)

Sorry guys I noticed my top mounts are munched last night and didnt want to risk the long journey :cry:

I passed by at around 12:30 from a car boot sale down the road, I couldn't see any MK1 cars about, only a few cars (non Golf)parked in the layby so I thought it was cancelled.

I looked in at the main car park which had a lot of cars in but no Golfs??

1pm onwards… not many people there before that time.

We are normally down the bottome end of the car park out of the way, never in the layby opposite the pub.

Next time maybe???

Definitely "The Wiggin Tree" pub? It sounds like you were too early, the meet started at 1pm, I arrived 3rd or 4th and saw 2 others just up the road from me. Its only 5 mins from the motorway junction, so you could have missed us on the road???

Looks that way, I did take it for granted that the meet was cancelled :? and maybe I was a little early, still I enjoyed the latte and the cheese and bacon turnover at the BP garage. Only down the road from me anyway :wink:
