Northern Ireland region needed

yes please theres a few mk1 over here enough to get our own region,even ivortheengine has a mk1 at long last lol

Is right i have eventually got one , surely there are enough mk1 tucked away over here for us to get a reg organised!

I agree, I've seen quite a few mk1s other here! Is there no groups for mk1 drivers in Northern Ireland?

Great an other NI mk1 just down the road from me. Watch this space plans a foot for a mk1 NI region on here,then we will take it from there.

met a guy in ballyclare  asda tonight in a wee black cabby, mentioned the site to him and to check out the ni interest . car looked well

Hey, I just realised I had an account created.  Must of done it when I bought the car & forgot all about it.  

It was great to see another MK1 owner in the area & hopefully get a regional group sorted out soon.

Hi Ivor, I should of told you my name when I saw you.  Was just surprised that I saw another mk1 owner & completely forgot to tell you.  My name is Ian & the car is going brilliant, better than I ever expected.  My plans are to get it back to it's original shape.  Always wanted a classic car that turned heads & people would appreciate.  I couldn't really find the parts I needed when I first got the car but finally found some on the internet.  I got my side trims today in the post which makes the car look great.  The only parts missing now is an ashtray & a rear Volkswagen badge.  Ian

good man ian there is a cabby down in quiggs in rasharkin may have an ashtray and badge on it ,i have a spare set of wheels if you fancy something just a little bigger but not ott, are you ballyclare or further towards glengormley?

I've got bids on ebay at the moment for the ashtray & rear badge so fingers-crossed I'll get them.  Thank you for saying about Quiggs, atleast I can always contact them if I get outbid.  Once I get the car all sorted I'll maybe see about the wheels, just want to get everything I need first before I think about the luxuries haha.

I am just out of town a bit , slippy is local too . A few of us will have to hook up at some stage. Did you got it painted ?
Who did the job for you lookin for one at the minute .

I got the thin black ones.  Thought silver would look to over the top with the car being completely black.  They look well on it, the car looks a bit more complete now.  The guy who I bought the car of had more boulder trims but he cracked two of them.  

Yeah we should meet up soon, would be good to see everybody's car. It was already painted when I got it.  I can't remember his name but he's based in Doagh, facing the chippy before the turn left to Ballymena.

I was thinking once we got everyone sorted that wants a Northern Ireland region created, we should get everyone together & get a couple of photographs done & send them in to the committee that runs this website to show that we really want a region for us created?  I just finished a BA Hons course in Photography so would be more than happy to do the photographs if it sounds a good idea to everyone?
