AND ME!! make 5!!!

The chippy is in St Annes. I think that we could meet on the B and Q car park at Bamber Bridge and then collect folk along the way. The way I see it we would have A5OPY, staffords, VW-Lucy, Peddersgolf and me to set off from there. Travelling on the A roads, up London Road, through the Docks onto Riversway, along the A583, onto A584 and through to Blackpool.

Sounds good to me, just remind me where the B&Q is as i'm not familiar. Is it the 1 at the very end of the M65 where you come back on yourself??

Yeah, right at the Preston end (!), get to the roundabout, turn right exit at the 3rd and keep in the righthand lane to the traffic lights. Turn right, you can't miss it!!!

I think that I'll phone the Chippy too to make sure that they will be open that night and find out what time they will serve to. There's nothing more ugly than a hungry, angry Mk1 Owner!!!  :wink:

Hi All,

Just got back from another RAINY excursion. Went to St Annes and had a word with Alan the chap who runs the chippy. I'll need to know numbers for an idea for the Reserved tables but he is happy to have us there for a 'knife n fork' but closes around 9.30pm….

So….

If the lights come on around 9pm and we then have a drive and look at them, we will be too late for a meal. Instead, how about we eat first and then drive up a bit nearer the time?

The car park outside the front of the chippy is now a big flower bed/ patio area. Don't be tempted to park next to the place in the car park either cause you'll get a ticket. believe me I've already participated in that one  ops:  but thyey wrote the car reg down wrongly so I got away with it!! Anyway we'll all be together so we'll sort out parking when we get there.
