All being well I am going to Tatton next weekend and would love to be able to put in an "informal" club stand and I am also interested in harewood house at Leeds but both are dependant on getting my cabby back on the road

Central to what, though? There's people from North Wales, interested in coming to meets.

I'd suggest some willing people seek out a couple of viable venues, then we take a poll on it. We should also consider people's views on whether they'd be okay to travel to other locations, or if they'd only go to their nearest.

OK are there any other locations, apart from Wiggin Tree and Preson Brook, that someone can suggest (and have been to before and checked out they're okay)?

Why don't you try the carnock richards services near Preston, or find a good pub close to the turn off.  I would imagine its pretty much central for most of you.  Might pop along to meet sometime in the Spring :D

Start at the beginning….

Look at who is ACTUALLY going to put their car where their mouth is and turn up.

Then look at where those people are based and find the central location to them all.

I undersatnd paul being out on a limb so to speak and the travelling must be a pain. If there is a pub or similar near junction 23 M6, say Haydock Race Course then that would be pretty good. I know that there are some pubs near there. (Going south, under the motorway, first left turn takes you to a village the name of which I can't recall and there are some there).

Paul, who is coming from North Wales? I've been off the pace as you know but will take more of an active role bnow. if things can be accommadated then they will but we need to know actual attendees rather than folk who post up then don't turn up.

Just a thought people.

DannyD came to one of the NW meets when it was in New Brighton, and GAMMYGOLFGTI is keen to attend (came to a meet, except I missed him :( ) and he's from Stoke direction. There's KEVL from the Wirral too.

I don't think we should be too harsh on the people who have posted but not turned up to meets - give them a chance! We need to make the meet a bit more of an event, possibly wait a while until the shows are over and get a bit of a buildup to it all? There's plenty of shows coming up in the next few weeks (Leeds VW Festival, York Hot Hatch Spectacular, Edition 38, VW Action all in the next 3 weeks) and I appreciate that people have other demands on their time.

I'm not too bothered about driving, after all that's what a car is for….remember I came to the last Wiggan Tree meet!!!!!!!
