Rallye

Well the first sill is finally on.

Now we have a bit of leading to do to seal the joints and blend it to the original panels but so far so good.

Lead laid onto joint between sill and rear quarter….





Will try to avoid lead poisoning tomorrow as I file it off! If I turn up at a show looking the same colour at these emoticons then you will know i didn't

Very nice leading Graham    I enjoyed doing it but it's nice to see it done properly!  

On the up side I don't look like a smurf yet!

RHS sill finally on complete with new lower A pillar, new step, new lower quarter and new wheel arch - all hand made from flat sheet.













The keen eyed among you will also notice the original rear quarter is now not looking like a bag of spuds from a poor previous repair.

How things progressing with this now Graham? Taking shape hopefully.

This is amazing.  When do you think she will be back on the road?  Luckily I managed to get a Rallye last September, after spending a longtime looking.

An update!!

Shell is finally painted and will be coming back in the new year for the build to start.

You're right about the poor pics  but looking down the side panel that looks a very good paint job on that.

Great work, the engine looks lovely. Its great to see attention to detail regardless of what it is.. It really is inspirational. Can't wait to see it finished.
