With the Mk1 gone a few months back to pay for a kitchen extension!!!, I had to get something to tinker with.

Mk1 and mk2 prices have crept up and are out of reach for me for a while.

So I looked at alternatives and wanted something I could cruise about in, old and German.

So I bought this…

The plan is to lower it and stick some nice oem style or split rims.

The cars been in storage and I haven’t seen it for two months!

My garage is full of furniture whilst we finish off the house renovations.

In the meanwhile I bought some alloys off an S Class. They are originally from
The SL convertible…

The tyres were huge and I could see the potential so changed the tyres and they look loads better already!!

Before

Nice profile!

After

Next stop is to lower the Merc and bring it home!

I was wondering where you going with it. I had a feeling it wouldn't be left 'stock'

Hello

It's been a while. So I suspect you're all getting ready for the AGM in the summer. In the meanwhile I've been working on the Merc

It's been lowered, had a quick going over with a DA and a wash. Oh and a new steering ….

It's ready to cruise about now!!

Looking good, amazing what a good polish does innit?

Like the wheels, never ween them before.

I'm also hunting for a retro merc. Looking a 560 SEL's at the moment. Trying to convince myself that 15mpg is acceptable  :P
