Hello guys,

Got myself a Mk1 Golf about to having a project car that I can work on and learn without having to worry about not having a car to go to work.
So here is my 82' mk1 Golf GTI, she is a 1.6 EG engine that needs a little bit of work (keeping it up to date)

Done:
- Clutch cable
- Brakes
-Rocker cover gasket
- Timing belt
- Full service
- Detailed-
New fusebox
- Fit amber indicators-
Fit Porsche door handles

To do:
- Fit Wolfsburg steering wheel
- Fit Mk2 gauges
- Fix horn
- Readjust steering rack (off center at mo)
- Get 15' P-slots refurbished
- Fit brake conversion (G60 front, Mk4 rear callipers)

- Source Original rear lights
- Source windscreen surround plastic
- Change headlights
- Refit rear lock and emblems

Here are the pics anyway:

When I first got the car…

Not seen that colour combination of red wheels and Silvev paint and it does look really nice.

Hi Zebby nice looking motor you got here. Looks nice and fresh. Love the wheels and the debadged boot.

Is it a windscreen rubber or pillar trims your after? I have both if needed.

Check out the Ireland region page for details on meets and shows!

Cheers Hugh.

I have literally no update but I'd say I'd put up a post anyway. Collecting more bits and bobs for the brake upgrade (G60 fronts and Mk4 rears) and also have this notion of relocating the radio to the centre console and moving the gauges up. Have all the parts for it so we'll see how we get on.

Also got new taillights…

Reason for the hold up was preparing the daily for its NCT (Irish MOT).
