a year in the making .
A very rare car from a daily runner up until just over a year ago a full restoration was long overdue no expense spared just the new roof and head lining to be fitted now read to show.

Morning
at the moment as far as we know this is the only cabby in this colour. this is a totally original car no colour change as this is how it was ordered by by my parents back in 1983 from Germany .The colour is Irish Green special order as by parents were in the forces stationed in German .This car was ordered in 1983 but was completed in around September 1984 due to VW going on strike the only time in their history that they have done so. VW offered my parents a white GTI due to the time length and production penalties they would incur but my parents hung on and waited 9 months for the car and as my father can not drive any more as a tribute to them as this was their dream car of the day and not cheap in those days i took the decision to restore the car for them as best as my wallet would allow. just a new hood to go on now which should be going on in a few weeks if all goes to plan.
