20v turbo

Hello everyone I am need to the forum and wanting some advise I looking to do a 20v conversion wots the best gear box to use with a agu engine and wot peoe sets like ? Thanks tom

Have you already got your MK1? Tell us more about it - with pics!!  

I'm on the same pursuit. I got advised;
VR final drive- 3.3
ABF gearing ratios - 3.30==1.944==1.308==1.029
And a longer fifth gear (from the ASD 'box) - 0.717

Longer fifth gear for the motorway driving….
That'll be going in a mk1 caddy, but I have wavetrac LSD to go in too…

Or just get an ASD or CTN box (or others, just check the ratios online!)

I didn't bother checking ratios etc(maybe I should have done lol) and went for an 02J with DBZ code, it came from an 1.8T Audi A3. I'm also fitting a Wavetrac to keep her planted.

Time will tell if I bought the right box or not

Thank for that was just guna use the agu box and do quake diff in the box ? 

i would bother with any mk4 petrol box as the gear ratios are all wrong for a mk1 due to mk4 having a much larger rolling radius than anything you would fit to a mk1
