Blimey, that must have taken a while!
Re the towbar, I was reading a fellow NW members posts and saw he had one on his project so I made a cheeky 'first dibs' post and he eventually sold it to me.

So a 5.30 rise saw me down at Bert's by 8.30am.

Not a bad return on the fuel getting there

IMG_1343.JPG

First job was to check the fuel tank because of the hesitation when cornering right at speed.
Rust was found

Then it was up in the air as part of the service

IMG_1347.JPG

Bert was very happy that the brakes were in good order and no hassle!!!

IMG_1346.JPG

All MOT'ed and serviced up. 1 new o/s spring and I set off home…. Only to pull in at Hilton Park for fuel and my never ending hot start issue kicked in once more.
I was juuuusssttt a little 'fed up'!
Home by 7.45pm though. A long day all in all.

Thanks Bert

The 2014 AGM saw me step down from the Committee after 6 years and the Chairman's position after 2 years.

CabrioAnna painted me a lovely picture of my cabby and I was given the Number 2 watch (Number 1 watch was autioned off).

Thanks to all the Committee and the Members.

Recently moved house (30/12/13, not the best time I know) and have inherited a much better garage now. Gone is the concrete one with asbestos and corrugated roof that dripped all over the car and in comes a brick and tile one with storage in the roof!!!! Hurrah!!!

It started like this

IMG_1339.JPG

Then we put cast off NEC carpet into it

IMG_1336.JPG

Then it got filled before the car could get anywhere near it. :
banghead: IMG_1337.JPG

I'm getting there but it's taking too long!

Can't believe its a year today since we moved in!
The car is having a much better life in a real garage!!!

I saw the first picture and thought this garage is crying out for carpet then I scrolled down!

Screw some onto the wall pillar, I got my car so close earlier in the year that it crushed the pile on the carpet, so glad it was there!

It's been off the road since August! I've been too busy with the house to use it properly.
The big jobs are done - hall, stairs and landing so next year will be lounge which will take £££££!!!

Resisting a sale to fund a conservatory at present but the time may come.

Dano

You said "Resisting a sale to fund a conservatory at present but the time may come."

But you can't take a conservatory for a drive in the summer or drop the roof whenever you fancy!
That and selling yours is a bit like selling a member of the Family, heart breaking I would imagine.  :'(

However, when the needs must and all that!
