Your car is Soooo nice……!
Have you done any more work on it lately?
I'm seriously considering air suspension: how do find it to drive? What management are you using?
Hi mate not much just had the carbs refurbished and done a few little jobs thats about it.
It drives good on air feels like its just on uprated suspension im just using manual paddel control.

So after getting every think ready to start the engine guess what it wouldn't start thought it was the carbs so had them fully refurbed still no think turns out the piston rings have seized to the Pistons.
While the clyinder head is of be rude to not polish it up
I picked some bits from the powder coasters

Finally finished polishing the clyinder head
Now it's time for putting the engine back together with new head gasket and head bolts
All back together and started on the first turn of the key
I've brought some new hinges from VW heritage
And the time has come for the dreaded mot
And it passed

Wow, that is clean. Same question, what did you use to polish the cylinder head and the cam cover?

Thanks guys for the positive comments
Hi I cheated on the rocker cover that has been powder coated. on the cylinder head I started of using 80 grit sand paper moveing up to 100 200 300 550 1000 and then 2000 wet and dry and a bit of metal polish by hand to finish it of.

Wow just seen your engine mate, looks excellent! A lot of hard work gone into that! I don't think the powder coating is cheating-more like sensible
