Exciting times seeing it all come together innit?
Can't beat hours and hours of polishing and claening and making things shiny.
Looking great so far!
Ian

All wheels have now been coated with c5, tyres fitted and balanced.
I've noticed the wheels have different ofsets et37 and et25 plus I've got 5mm spacers coming with longer bolts so hopefully I can get them sitting right.
Also come today
New trim clips
C4 for all plastics
Black indicator lenses for the front
New chemical guys drying towel
Just waiting on bolts for wheels to come

Since fitting the wheel I've got a horrible noise on right full lock, traced to inner wheel hitting inner wheel arch so panic over that's an easy fix.
Had some issues with wheel hop on boost so been adjusting damper settings to cure the issue and setting tyre pressure.
I got a good setup then I started blowing boost hoses off the turbo now as I could hold full throttle longer.
So next job is lipping the adaptor tubing is next job.

So it's straight off the turbo now up and onto a 61mm pipe.
I didn't have anytime to test it at full boost though ;-(

I had chance to nip out in it today wow it's mental!!
It's the first time it's all come together and worked right, suspension brakes and engine all bang on!!
I really really need to get a limited slip diff fitted next as even with the semi slick tyres its tramlining all over, on and off boost it torque steers all over the road.
There's still a few tweaks and improvements i want to make later on but mega happy right now.

Car run perfect, a little bit of catching on the arches but nothing really.
Kids didn't enjoy it, too hard, too noisy blah blah

Had a few outings to a local meet and the guys got plenty of attention.
Today I took it to a local car show and it won best paint in the show.

Apart from putting it away the fan fuse blew so that's a little job I hope.
Priced up a lsd for the gearbox so hopefully I'll get round to that over the winter.
Taxes for another month then the covers going on.

I've been keeping myself buying building t5 campers.
I've now to decide if I want to pull the engine out of the mk1 and fit a lsd over winter.

What figures did you end up with adjusting front and rear to ? And do you have a pictures how you adjusted rear wheels?
BTW I'm buliding a R32 5door golf mk1, I like the new tech in old car.
Really love you mk 6 seats. Wonder how that would be in a 5 door

Nice build! I got told to go check this thread for some wheel geometry data, I can see you struggled a bit with that?

Sorry I don't the data to hand I left it to the technicians, the main issue was the rear wheels weren't track straight and there is no adjustment for that. The rears were stripped and bushed with plastic discs so they ran straight.
The whole car was setup with the strip method on little platforms.
Transformed the car so much I wouldn't mine me other cars doing.
