Ok so a big leap forward on Sunday….The engine is in finally.

Comments welcome……

Clutch repair panel in place…

Little bit of heat protection…

Not much room between the arches and wheels when we dropped it.

Not much clearance…

Even less room between the driveshaft and downpipe…

Engine going in…

Caption competition……

Et voila……

we will make progress if you stop saboteging the build, no more rubbish from the white box!

Tell the boys and girls that your wheels are also sat in/on the arches now the engine is in! Got to raise the coilovers to a more decent ride height.

 yeah forgot that bit about the weight of the engine causes the tyres to rub the arches.

Might just buy some Kw's this month and be done with it ;)

rub?
that would suggest a gap. I bet your wheels don't turn.

let me know on the kw's, as we need to redo the front hubs for the driveshafts and figure out the wobble

This looks like a fun engine for a mk1.

How is the downpipe clearance with the engine in place and the driveshaft bolted up? not sure whether to buy one or make my own

Post

Haven't bolted the drive shaft up yet mate so can't say exactly but it's going to be close. I'll let you know.
