Great work here Smudger. Should be quite a rocket when shes finished!!
I know what you mean about 'those days' where everything goes wrong. I spent 5 hours down my unit today, got chaff all done on my car so thought I'd try and fix the mrs' Renualt Clio window washer motor, spend 2 hours 'trying' to fix it, only to break it even more (the rear wiper doesnt work now) and to top it all, I cracked the windscreen!! So 5 hours gone, and a £75 excess for a new windscreen.
Ive had more successful Sundays if I'm honest :redfaced:
Looking forward to seeing this finished! Whats your ETA?

Must be shitty Sunday then for the MK1 owners. I am hoping to have it done by the spring and in any case by the AGM. It will be my first one so hoping to bring it along.
Won't be finished though if I get more shitty Sundays.

Didn't have a full day working on the car today but couldn't really do much as one of the manifold studs is still stuck in place and we were unable to source the helicoil bits to get it out so engine still in same place it was last week :redfaced:
Fitted lower strut brace instead……..
Tried to give the engine bay a clean up and touch up a few scratches and marks. Not brilliant but filled the time….
Sprayed up my new clutch cable repair panel. Looking to get it riveted in place next weekend with a bit of luck…….
Did manage to get the other side of the cars hub and Wilwood caliper ready and worked out I need 10mm spacers on the front to clear them
More next week hopefully
