Silver MK1 GTI Campaign Restoration

Hi,

Been working on the MK1 for a few months now and things are starting to get exciting so I thought I would share my progress (in rough chronological order). Heres the link to the photos if you're interested: Photo and Video Storage | Photobucket
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, questions are also welcome.

Work carried out so far:
Engine out and fully rebuilt, the 144000 had definitely taken it's toll!
New front and rear arches using VW parts where possible and welding of a few other little bits and pieces but it seems pretty solid for a 30 year old car.
Car has been stripped out apart from the dashboard, this has been the usual "oh we've gone this far we might as well…"
Engine bay prepped and painted ourselves
Car has been nearly prepped for paint
Car should be off to paint tomorrow

I am putting together a lengthy list of parts I will require soon so some help with that would be great.

Thanks, yeah I think it is going to be good useable car when it is finished, seems a bit of a money pit at the moment though! Desperately needs a couple of cans of red and black paint to undo a previous owners love of blue!
