there are lots of little imperfections i can assure you!
You dont want it to be perfect, you wouldnt want to drive it if it was… doesnt look far off though mate, youve done a great job keeping her mint.

Haha thanks buddy, means alot
Gave my wheels an overdue clean after all the snow and salt
Was sunday afternoon so had to use what i had available… a sponge and soap to clean them, and then diet coke and tinfoil to remove the rust
not bad considering!

Thanks guys, cannot wait to get them on, thinking of widening the rears with some 1.5"/2" lips but will have to check the fitment first.
Been busy the past week polishing the lips and nuts.
For my first time polishing I'm happy with the results, its hard work but rewarding, granted they weren't in awful condition to begin with but still makes a difference!
First I practised on this;
to this;
not perfect by any means but still impressed!
Next onto the lips;
after, i know they are pitted, i will probably wet and dry a few of them and re polish them afterwards.
my workstation
and next up where my nuts the one on the left i have started to polish, the one on the right i havent.
and an arty farty shot…
Hopefully finish the nuts this week and then carry on sanding back the paint on the lips so i can build them up!

Great job on the polishing
Did you do it by hand or with a machine?

Thanks Matt, I'm pleased for a first attempt. Did them by hand, took about an hour for each dish. Would imagine its a lot easier with a machine, definitely easier on your arms anyway haha i was like popeye by the end of it

Been a while since I've touched the car, bit busy as of late!
Test fitted one of the wheels a while back, here are the results..
Still not ready to fit, rubbed down the barrels, just need to do the faces then they are ready, but its one of those jobs where i get in from work and can only be arsed to do it for a little while haha.
Also had a repair kit for my wolfsburg horn push, the usual broken tabs, heres how it looks now;
Then i gave the car a good clean up on friday ready for Dubs at the Park, but unfortunately i wasnt feeling too good on sunday so didn't end up going.
I had all the black trims off for a respray too as they were getting a little tatty, turned out great after rubbing down and respraying
The finished article pre trims
And to finish off a recent night time shot, still need some work shooting in the dark but getting better!
