So few updates with the cabby

Gear linkages - all sorted 😃, took it to some great engineers I know and they worked out that as the throw of rod's was out because a custom rod I made has to be on on an angle to miss exhaust and turbo the brackets needed tweaking to compensate the throw , reverse and 1st now working sweet

 Full body kit has been stripped off and over the next few weeks it's having paint Mits530 's paint shop , as well as towing eyes deletes and a few more tweaks

Order going into funk-star at classic vw soon for stainless chrome bumpers , chrome sill trims , chrome flag mirrors, chrome petrol cap , black small arch spats , and a few other bits

Hopefully I will have it all built back up for Volksfest the 9-11th June but will probably have to run it on current back box till I can get a custom one made as this one is huge and works with clipper kit but not small bumpers

From memory is yours the red one where you have taken kit off and got some 16inch lenso's on, then was going to run the plastic arches?

My wheels might be for sale in a few months if I find some fifteen 52's etc

Or I have the 16 inch Porsche wheels in pics at start of thread for sale just not listed them yet

Brilliant, I've grown carried away and bought LENSO BSX 17" but yep it's that car , I too have some Porsche wheels for sale , black D90's lol how much would you like for your reps though?

So further update on the cabby ..

The small bits of paint I was going to have done has turned into me deciding to paint the car all the way around from the waistline trim down  

Should make it near mint then though, so updates to follow

Ok so the car that was painted about 12 months ago which only needed bits of paint under kit , turnt into complete paint from the waistline trim down , turning into basically painting the whole car 🙈, there were to many imperfections here and there I was not happy with

All the chrome goodies have been ordered and are with Funk Star at classic VW , here's some progress pics , in the end the boys in the body shop even welded up the holes in the arches that took the grommets that the clipper kit screwed into etc , tailgate has had badge hole delete and loads of other subtle tweaks here and there …. 

To say I am excited to see it and get it built back up with the small bumpers etc would be an understatement, thanks to Mits530 and funk-star and arf333 for all thier help 👍 

Looking good,, you will have to give me the chaps number as I want to get mine blown over at some point..

Ordered up magnetic plates , and got some new bits ready to go on the car 👍

Always a good when shiny bits turn up. Cars looking really good by the way, can't wait to see it all put together, neither can you I bet lol, well the weathers here to enjoy it so good times

Few more tweaks to do but nearly there . 

Then when funds permit Air and Gearbox change might be on the cards
