seriously…
it has passed the mot, and i have a tax disc too. so it is all legal..
but on the way home from the post office it burst a water hose .
so i limped home stopping a few times to refill (with water i handily had in the boot).
after letting it cool down i took off the burst hose and replaced with a red (yuk!!) samco one and refilled with water. couldn't drive any more on saturday as we had to go shopping and visit her mum etc and she wanted to drive the cabrio as it was lovely and sunny….
then on sunday got up, watched grand prix, then went to a local VW show - holton classics - on the way, guess what????? burst another water hose…. was well recieved at the show though which pleased me
so i limped home. again. and didn't have a spare hose so put it in the garage and shut the door, unable to go for a cruise about on a lovely warm sunny sunday evening… boooo…
but i took this before i put it away for the night…. which i like…
have ordered new hose today, will be in tomorrow so will be up and running again tomorrow night….
now i am worried it will burst the next weakest hose, and the next, and the next, etc etc until they are all new… ??? hopefully not as i can't afford any more at the mo, have just paid for lemans….

Unlucky with the hoses. It is possible though more may go if all old. Fingers crossed not yet though. Enjoy driving

nothing new for me just yet, still saving for the new suspension that is needed.. have done quite a few more miles since the engine bay clean up, so far so good. no water or oil leaks anymore - woop woop 8) tailgate should be painted and on in the next couple of weeks, then hopefully suspension will be done before the annual gathering.
new pic from today though..
and one of the vr6 too . 8O
loving the summer sun!

update time , has been a while…
when i first bought my car it had this lovely(?) spoiler on the bootlid
when i pulled it off there was rust and loads of scratches underneath it so i sourced another bootlid which was 99% rust free, but with a couple of dents.. so, back in september i did this in my garden…..
finally last month it went over to my mates paint and body shop….
so we stripped it right back to metal pretty much all over the outside
and flatted back all the inside, put in some new seam sealer along the bottom edge
painted it and wet flatted it off..
polished it up good and proper then removed the old one and fitted the new nice shiny one..
put the new sticker on - what a ************** job that was
finished!!
except i need to get the black stripe for along the bottom edge. i did get the yellow one inside from crazyquiff at the show on sunday..
