got a bit more done today, coated it with synastrip (as well as the bay) so hopefully tomorrow I can blast over it with the paint stripper wheel and I'll have a metal to prep and reseal!

Ending the day with some home made burgers and a beer!

Got some more done, deffo taking longer than expected, but ah well. Found some more holes as well, so need a bit more welding. But that's why I'm stripping it. Better to know than to not know!

Least I've found some metal now 😂

Cheers mate!

I've just booked a week off starting the 15th, so I'm hoping to get the entire car stripped and in primer! Wish me luck…

Forgot to update last weekend but I've almost got all the underseal off the bottom, having this weekend off and then next week the whole bloody thing should be in primer and re undersealed!

I underestimated the fight the wheel arches would give me, but I'm pretty close to primer now, just the tops of the rear arches to do, it was a day on each for the front!

Also got all the sound deadening from the inside, that took a while, but satisfying!

Plan is to get it in paint by September so I better pull my finger out!

Oh and I split the rear beam down ready to get it back on the floor

Great work - I know exactly what you are going through as I also took last week off work to do exactly the same! (My underside is now primed   although to be fair I'd already done the front arches…)

Well done for getting the stuff off the inside off.

I gave up after the first pan and left it. I figured if it was still stuck and not cracked then leave it alone.

Did you find any more holes?

It's all about the heat! A couple of little ones from a previous repair on the inner arch, should be able to sort them and grind back 🙂
