Settling In
hope you guys like / enjoy
for those who know me ... they know im the kind of guy who can't keep a secret held for a long time ... well thats if its my own car that is
heres my secret...
it all started in around 2006 with this green 1985 oettinger that sat in my driveway for half a year through my dad , i had recently got this old corsa c modified (those where the fast and furious days honest!) and the funny thing is i spent more time with this car more than my corsa… i was in love
it was my dads "best" mates at the time who had asked for my dads help to restore it back to better times … sad fully but those times never came for it as the car became part of a argument between the pair over career stuff (working together closely at the time) and i begged my dad to keep the car … but came home from college one day to see it gone , was totally gutted
from then on it became a plan to do one , didn't care how long , how much or anything… it had to be done & when i finally got this 1983 blue 1 litre one…
i almost gave up on the hope of building a awesome car … until bill popped into the scene that was .
came to the usual family get together for christmas and as usual at the time my family all had few drinks and dinner what not and there was a moment i can't forget and never really spoke about it until now … and that moment was when my grandfather asked me about the car and i told him a few things in mind , he was the one who diverted me away from the stupid idea and well in easy words keep it "original" (watch out for that part) … was the best thing i had taken in for this car to be honest and we spoke for a while longer on the car and i had spoke of when it was ready we should go a drive … that sad fully was not to be after he lost his life in april 2012
to this day it still hurts thinking of the last night i spoke with him and said about the usual kind of things to him about going for a wee whisky or even a drive , we never expected it to happen but it just did…
ever since this moment but it has been i hate to say it like this but even more motivation to get this one done … this car at the time didn't exist after i scrapped the first one i had got … but lately I've gathered my money and started buying parts for it ,
swallowtail dash bought instantly and sent to my friends at soundwerks glasgow to be retrim'd , air priced up (sorry static lovers) , wheels already in my head from years ago , colour well and truly picked for the car no other! , painter is chosen aswell but for now , this is all i can show for now until i well funnily enough get the car… don't know whether it could be a brave move or stupid as i attempt with a better career and other parts in my life at this moment but i do keep it on my head every day

Oh....
Bailey got the struts out for me today ....
while this she then found a sneaky sneaky idea for less wire / pipe mess
measured the where the chassis would end up and go it spot on! drilled at both sides so now have pretty much set up for the air line & brake lines to go through this section once into the later stages

Nuts were buggered on bottom on axles so angle grinder to the legs just to get it off!
