Yup cheated by a poor set of bike carbs (and an unscrupulous seller, who as it turns out, now can't get his car to run! ) )
and an air leak in the brakes. Boo! After putting in 16 hour days it was a shame to to miss it bu so little.
Still never mind.
She's definitely a mean looking mk1! The pictures don't really do her justice to be honest.

Don't do anything yet mate.
I have found a back door to make the photobucket images accessible - it is sure to close very soon. I am in the process of ripping the images that exist on Photobucket in 54,000 posts !
My aim is to move them all to Cloudinary - which you should all use now as the club pays them for the hosting! And then remake the links, do that they all appear again!

I suppose I should update this a little, but I've got out of the habit of taking pictures.
So brake issue fixed (probably) I think it was the compensator valve. So it's been removed. Could get interesting!
Carbs replaced with another set and the petrol stays in them rather than leaving via knackered seals
Set bases fabricated.
3 different boot seals installed to get the tailgate to stop leaking. But still got a small leak. Looks like it's coming from an area above the lights. Very odd.
Alarm mostly wired in, central locking installed and electric windows installed.
Just got to finish under lay, carpets, door cards and final finishing bits. Hopefully off for am MOT early next week.
Piccies to follow

Unfortunately I filled up with fuel on the way there as last time she failed to get to the mot as she ran out of fuel, this meant that fuel started leaking all over the floor!
After a bit of looking on the ramp and head scratching turned out to be the O ring on the tank sender unit. It'd got pinched and moved. Easy fix!
No advisories or nuthin! Yay for me.
Look out world, the Mynx is on the loose!

All the door cards to do and a boot install to complete, nothing too major!
I always start with a big pile of MDF.
Cut out the shapes I need then mark out the design for the card.
After that it's a lot of cutting and sanding to get to where I need it to be.
More to follow later, as hopefully it'll be done today as a show tomorrow!
Wish me luck

The door cards were fitted but looked terrible so they got thrown away for minute and I'm re-thinking!
In other news Mynx kept stalling out as though she wasn't getting any fuel.
All fuel pipes and filler breathers etc were removed, inspected and put back together. Worked for a bit then stopped again. So did it all again. Seemed to work ok
She then went for tuning
She went in with 66bhp when they gave her a an initial run on the rolling road. Bit low as the engine should have 100bhp with the injection system on it and in standard form.
After a bit of jetting and timing etc etc she ended up with 144bhp @ 6700rpm with 125lbft of torques at 5500rpm!!
That's more than one horse power for each cc!!!!
To say I'm impressed is an understaement
she's a bit of an animal now to say the least! Who needs a big block
Then she decided to stop again
Replaced the fuel pump as it was the only thing we hadn't tried and voila, she runs sweet and doesn't want to stop anymore. Yay! She's finally accepted her resurrection
Pics to come of the finished article when I find a suitable place to take some decent snaps.
Just the interior to complete now………….

Cheers mate, I was a little surprised myself tbh! I was expecting 100 ish and would have been over the moon with 125ish. But nearly 150! That's just nuts
Just hope it doesn't drink the juice like Oliver Read
