My mk1

Post

Hi guys I've finally got the 16v running after being let down by many a mechanic I got her back to my workshop phoned a friend and she starts, happy days but still got a few things to sort out, new fuel pump, injector seals, air intake, water pump and hopefully this will iron out the issues.

It's good to be back on the forum and I'm not to sure if my paid membership is up to date, can someone let me know and I'll sort it out ASAP.

Started work today on the cad, changed the water pump and some washers on the fuel lines, just waiting on the other parts to arrive to get stuck in.

Well I'm nearly there and I can not believe how much I've learned over the past week having no mechanical knowledge, fitted the new fuel pump then realised the idle control valve is broken so just ordered a new one, the injector seals are leaking but they are on order too so once the rest of the parts have arrived I think I will finally get a drive in her next week, also gave her a good old clean up.

I also picked up some genuine BBS spits from a bmw for £350 in poor condition and I'm not to sure if they will fit yet but I'll sell them no problem once I get the powered coated.

Not any further getting the engine running still waiting on parts arriving but had a chance to give the arches a good spit and polish
