Hi all, I'm determined to get my Golf done before winter settles in. Here are some pics of him (yes its a him, he's called Barry because he was a bit barry'ed when I got him and we've got too many cars we have to name them so we know which one we are talking about O_o) Here he is about 5 years ago.

Heres whats happened to him in the last 5 years.

I plan on keeping him standard, hes had a recon engine and box that came with a magnex stainless system (which I'm not sure about, its very loud) I had a standard exhaust on my old old Golf which I liked the look and sound of so might go back to. I'm currently refurbing some P-slots I found with centre caps and some NOS pirelli P600 tyres. Having some problems with electrics at the moment which is holding me up.

You've been waiting for someone to ask that question haven't you?

Looks great mate and as far as the electrics is concerned post up your issues in the appropriate section and we'll try to find the answers for you!

Thanks guys. I think the wiring issues are cos its been stood so long under a stupid car cover which held the damp in. My old old golf dash loom went up in smoke (that blue and grey wire) so don't want the same to happen again. Did turn the wipers on and it cut the engine off which turned out to be a seized wiper motor but I'm getting there with electrics but I'll put a post up if I get stuck.

Nice transformation on the body work. Silver is my favourite colour after Mars Red (but then I'm biased)

Yayyyyy all done at last. Got through all the electrical problems in the end and its all working as it should of been, even got all the MFA working. I've been for a little drive and it bought back that cheesy grin I remember from last time it was on the road. Looking forward to getting out and about in it.
