My Black Sportline - Update on my sold car :-)

Bizarrely the second edition is the most sought after, even though the originals were limited and there wasn't meant to be anymore so the original first edition owners were up in arms when Renault brought out the Williams 2.
The 2nd edition got more spec and the third more again but the third is the least desired.

Wierd. I think I'd go for a version 1 if it was me but this one looks nice……

Chris, your new Sportline looked good when we saw it at South Mimms, but is going to look fantastic when you get it back from the paintshop. Looking forward to seeing the pics.

I don't think I will get any during pics but I will get some after ones before it gets locked away for the winter.

I'm not going to put the exterior back together until next spring and hopefully by then the leaking petrol tank and rear end are all replaced as well as new red carpet.

Twas the night before the paint job when all through the house,
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Well not strictly true, Chris was Tossing & Turning,
sweaty palms and all!

HAPPY PAINT JOB TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT.

There was me trying my best to keep this out of the gutter.  
I'll know better next time!

A few pics of the car before its respray, its hard to show on pics but the front bumpers paint is all crackled and marked, there is about 6 dents on panels and about 12 small rust patches.






















The next pics will be of a newly resprayed car.

In a way I wish I had the car completely stripped and then totally sprayed but it would have been daft.

The immobiliser is playing up I think, so once the cars back I need to get that looked at, might just get a new alarm system installed and that one ripped out ??

Then the leaking petrol tank, not leaking really just oozing :-)

Onwards and upwards, the money put is all systems go :-/

Car is just not right when trying to start, it turns over ok but only starts sometimes.
I'm sure its gotta be the immobiliser, cutting off the spark ??
When I play with the fob and plip it on and off then it will start eventually.

I don't know what else it could be ?? Unless the ignition could do that ???

Chris, just an idea, but after we had finished stripping scott's clipper before the re spray , he popped a diposable camera in the car and just ask the body shop to kindly take some snaps as they worked on it, worked quite well and scott got some good shots to put in the paper work / history file :-)

Great idea but too late as I don't get back to the bodyshop until I pick it up.
