My 83 abf air ride project

Was it Radio world that said that? They supplied you with a bolt on kit that isn't bolt on! It's major arch mod to get the clearance. 
Can I ask the spec of the new bags you have and did you also get them from Radioworld? Are they just bolt off the old ones and bolt on the new? 
I think I would be contacting D2 directly!

I know, had that same argument just to be told bags not covered under warranty and I should have made the necessary mods to the car….

I'd agree if the wheels had caused the damage as that's an ofset problem but rubbing on arch!

Do they supply a hammer to modify the inner archaic then?!?

Lol, I have paid the money so I can get it back on the road asap and then I will take it further.

Yes it was radio world. They said my instructions clearly say that modifications may need to be made. The lad there has been helpful and tried to get them replaced with a bolt on smaller bag foc but it was D2 have said they clearly say mods my need to be made so won't Warrent the bags. They did agree to supply me 2 new smaller bags for the price of one so I won't need to make any mods. I have paid the money as I could go on for weeks otherwise and after already spending £1600 I just want it sorting.  Once I have them in my possession and can see all is good I will then take it further.

What they are saying is there is a very small lip where the turret meets the inner arch of just a few mm and if I had heated it and hammered it in then it would have been enough not to rub. If only this had been put in the instructions but they would have done it if I had paid for there fitting service so my bag I guess really. The old thing of measure before you fit

That's ok but if it's not in the fittings instruction then you still have a case.

Just came today and massively smaller so should work out fine.

Here are the new smaller bags.

So here is the new v the old. As you can see there is a massive difference in size so hopefully should work well.

They look loads better mate

Not a problem. Out at the moment so will do it later.

Ok old ones are 47cm round bellows and new ones are 37.5cm so a massive difference. 

They look miles better pal,Will having smaller bags make any difference with the ride height

Don't think it will change the ride height but should go up and down a bit quicker.

So will they perform any different with been different volume?

Not too sure till I get em on the car tomorrow pal.

How much did it cost for the replacement bags ,or did you manage to get them to send you some for free.

Sort of, they replaced the burst one foc but I had to pay for the other which was £200 so I guess not so bad in the end
