thanks man, and thanks again…..

i was thinking about going to 7" on the fronts and 7.5" on the rears…. but maybe i'll go 8" on the backs??

Yeah, go for it! I'm really pleased with the rears, poss like to go a little wider like you on the fronts but I'm not in any rush! Let me know what you go for.

Lovely looking mate.

I was surprised how much I liked it on the D90's

Thanks mate. I really didn't like the D90s at first but they slowly began to grow on me.

Always had bbs planned though, it's just the cleaning/maintenance that's a nightmare  :x

I know -total nightmare keeping on top of them. I had RS's on my Mk2 Golf a good few year ago and then CKII's on myS3 - both were a pig to keep on top off and definitely no good in winter.

Sooooo worth it when they're all polished up though!

Looks sweet!!

How you getting on with the spax coiles?

How much lower could you go on them if you wanted to?

Cheers man!

I'm really pleased with the coilovers, ride comfort is a lot better than before and now makes the car a joy to drive.  :D

Could go a fair bit lower on the back but only a tad lower on the fronts eg a few more turns. As I've got a sloped drive I'm as low as I can go! They definatly don't go as low as other coilovers 25-65mm only.

Thats cool then, I don't see the point in taking the helpers out etc and running good quality coilovers really low   Might as well get ebay specials!

Looks spot on with the gti splitter, only thing for me would be changing the front lights to originals, but thats it

For the money they are wicked, didn't want to completely slam the car.

Comments taken on board! ;-)

Thanks to everyone who voted for me Jan COTM!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any updates, here’s a couple of pics regarding my progress recently (sorry for the poor quality).

Pulled out the Engine to start the rebuild:

Filled three boxes of parts so far:

New lift in, should make putting the engine back a lot easier, who said you can’t work in a cluttered single garage!

Looks  very nice.

Can't beat the original duck bill, but they dont tend to last long… :$

I think I'd give my left arm for a lift in my garage! I don't have the height to lift the car more than about 2.5ft though!

Thanks!

Know what you mean… Got through a couple of duck bills now! Had to remove it to get under the car before getting the lift.

I'm tight on height too, but should make life easier.

Looking very tidy Ross

Where did you get the injectors from? Were they a recent purchase?

Thanks mate

Got the injectors recently from GFS, they are Bosch ones and weren't cheap. Discontinued from VW I didn't have much choice as I wanted new.
