mk1 KR project

hello all

just looking for a bit of advice and a way around a few head scratching problems
I've got a KR engine out of a mk2 golf gti with R1 bike carbs on it and i've hit a confusing part with the cooling, i've been looking for diagrams on how to get around this problem but i'm not 100% on what exactly what i need
do i need to blank off a few outlets?
could anyone help please

Do you mean the outlet on the front of the engine clashing with the carbs?

yeah i've got a manifold that has a small outlet on it but on the original it branches off
also do i need the metal coolant pipe or is there a way around that?

You can get a manifold that suits /avoids the carbs from bogg brothers, not cheap though.

Not sure about the metal pipe, I'm not having a heater, so don't need them.

Got a picture of your trouble? Seems yor describing the metal pipe that goes around the front of the engine, you need that.
