Mk1 golf gti, 2L 16v, R1 Carbs. Nurburgring Nordschleife

Was stored away in the garage when the tax ran out and the winter arrived.

For 2015. All I've done is to fit some compbrake adjustable top mounts and do an oil change ready for another trip to the Nurburgring in May.

Best time this year being 9.10mins.  Sub 9 very much insight and was gutted when it rained on my last day there

My fastest lap of 9.10mins. You'll see where I lose time. My Tall ratio TD box doesn't help either. Will be looking to swap the box for an O2A for next years trip.

Absolutely amazing thread! Love this car and everything that its evolved into!

The Nurburg video is great as well. I went round in June this year after going to the Le Mans 24 Hour race, sadly it was in a 1999 diesel Octavia though. It was so good watching that bought back a lot of memories from the holiday Brilliant car and I can't wait for your next update on this thread

will be looking to add a cage in for next year and if possible more power!. I defo need to swap out my tall ratio box either way

I'll defo be changing the gearbox now.

She stuck in 3rd after my first run down the strip at gti festival. I got it home ok as a few miles in, it free'd up.

Already gathered a few parts for a cable change conversion. Just need a box with ratios I like
