Matt black mess!

ok so, this is my mk1. my first mk1 golf although I have a mk1 caddy, have had 3 mk2 golf's,  2 mk3's and 2 mk4 ' s!  along with some other vag stuff 

but anyway, so it was originally a 1.1 c and red. attended the national meet in '09 and since has suffered a matt black paint job. But it's had a g60 put in there 

interior at the minute is minimal. seats, dash, door cards and carpet 

the shell is the main reason I bought it. despite the black it's only done 35k and has never been welded. needs some love on the n/s rear arch but it's pretty superficial and nothing major at all

-digifiz 
-02a gearbox. (one day rich) 
-started making some fiber glass turret covers which will be carpeted) 
-carpeted mdf sheet taking up the whole boot and rear seat area as I'm not putting any rear seats in 
-paint!!!! 
-sort out a fueling issue I'm having

started taking some black off.  hopefully I can do this all over and salvage the paint underneath

Quite like the Matt black tbh and definitely a good base!

yeah definitely a good starting point. I'm hoping to get it red and maybe take it to a show this year (never been to a show!) 

going to save the paint job for a while I think as I'd like to change the colour. manila green or similar I think would look good

it has got an alright look about it. I like it some days and some I don't  problem is where it's stupidly loud and matt black people think it's a complete bag of sh!t so you have to drive it with a point to prove all the time… 

with a nice paint job it'll look more of a classic than a chav'd up corsa

Never been to a show!    LOL

Well you can't beat the AGM - very relaxed, friendly atmosphere, good drive out on the Saturday, disco (fancy dress a laugh!) and Sunday show n shine.

Hopefully though you weren't planning to go to the MK2 OC meet for the first time this year too as we clash this year  

I'm not sure I could hack the distance with the exhaust system…. which consists of a 4 branch and then not alot else…. well nothing until the back box 

needs another silencer 

Get it done, bring it along, you'll love it  

It's a shame about the matt black but it doesn't look that bad
Red will be better

Gotta love a G60

Lovely car I especially love the seat must be really comfy, don't let people give you looks like your driving a chav corsa, end of the day it's a lovely mk1 black looks good but like red will look nicer polished up good luck looks nice tho WANT THOSE SEATS

the seats are pretty cool. The police aren't overly keen as they haven't got headrests and they only come half way up your back 

got some recaros with electric bases ready to go in though  not sport lines though

Can't really justify it at the moment. and I'm not going to be using it a great deal. I need something more practical but still fun so I'm going for an s4 
shame as I know getting a mk1 shell this clean with the mileage is going to be getting harder and harder let alone with a g60 in it 

Is a shame, but you do what you gotta do S4 should be nice  

Well that was a short affair… 

The golf left last night too a really nice guy, who has some great plans for it and definitely has the skills to get it done! 

Judging by his other cars and the one he p/x'd with me this should be one to look out for! It now lives up in Manchester so keep an eye out
